The strength of the Syrah and Bourbon are seamlessly balanced by our surprising spiced up twist of brown sugar, ginger, and cinnamon!

What You’ll Need:
Glass: Irish mug or any glass mug
Garnish: Cinnamon stick / Cinnamon Powder
Ingredients (makes 1):
2 oz Chalone Vineyard Estate, Syrah 2014
.25 oz Bourbon
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
3 Cinnamon Sticks (one is for garnish)
5 Cardamom Pods
1⁄2 inch of Fresh Ginger Fresh or 2 dashes of Powdered Ginger
8 Cloves
4 Star Anise
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Vanilla Whipped Cream
Steps:
Using a ziplock bag, place 2 cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, cardamom, fresh ginger (mulling spices) inside & crush using a spoon. The crush does not have to be perfect, but at least ingredients should appear broken, this helps release their flavor. Set bag aside. In a saucepan simmer wine in low heat, do not boil. Add mulling spices & sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper, Bourbon & stir once more. Strain ingredients in mug & top with fresh whipped cream. Garnish & Enjoy!
