
Do you hear that marching band in the distance? Mardi Gras is almost here! Though the celebration typically calls for beignets and Hurricanes on Bourbon Street, we couldn’t help but recreate our own—with wine of course!
What you’ll need:

Glass: Hurricane or Poco Grande
Garnish: Orange Wedge & Cherry
Ingredients:
- 3oz Cakebread Cellars, Sauvignon Blanc 1oz Black Rum
- 1oz Passion Fruit Nectar, Puree or Juice 1⁄2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
- 1⁄2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/3oz Grenadine
- 3 dashes Old Fashion Bitters 1⁄4 oz Simple Syrup (Optional*)
Steps:
In a shaker add all ingredients except for bitters and fill shaker with fresh ice. Fill glass with fresh ice. Shake vigorously for 8 seconds. Strain ingredients into glass. Add bitters. Garnish, sip & enjoy!
