    “That’s a tough one, since there are so many that I haven’t had. The wine that has stuck with me the most is a 2002 Grand Cru Charmes Chambertin by Rousseau, and I think that it doesn’t get much better than that. One thing I’d really like to get my hands on is a Jefferson-era Bual Madeira. It was America’s wine for so long, the Declaration of Independence was toasted with it, and it never goes bad. Truly ancient Madeira would be my final answer.”

    “I think bucket-list wines should have a degree of the extreme to them – so I think there has to be wine from the Bekka Valley in Lebanon. They are the ‘older than old world’ wines and given the political instability in that area of the world it takes incredible commitment from producers to continually make and get them to market. I would also go for really old Port (another excuse to travel back in time) and another Champagne from the 1800s.”
