The Coravin, a futuristic wine opening device created by medial equipment developer Greg Lambrecht, is a new piece of technology that can extract wine from the bottle without opening it. The device uses a fine needle to pierce the cork and extracts the wine using a complex pump system. The wine is then returned to the shelf completely unaffected by the process, and continues to age as if nothing ever happened.”
